The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the CY 2024 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) Final Rule in November 2024, which included detailed policy changes related to remote physiologic monitoring (RPM) Medicare reimbursement for tracking physiological patient data. RPM, with codes 99453, 99454, 99457, 99458, and 99091, focuses on monitoring vital signs and preventing health issues. The 2024 billing updates emphasize the significance of these remote care services and provide healthcare providers with new revenue streams.

There are 1.1 million Providers that received reimbursements via Medicare’sr eimbursement  Fee-For-Service (FFS)model.  The CMS objective is to ensure all Medicare and a vast majority of Medicaid beneficiaries will be in a care relationship with accountability for quality and total cost of care by 2030.
